Every Sunday at 5pm SLT Tiki Town hosts Movie Night.

Each month we show a variety of theatrical movies and movies exclusively released on streaming services.

The Sunday movies range from comedies, science fiction, fantasy, action, thrillers, horror, and animated movies. We also typically show a music documentary or music-related biopic each month. One movie per month will generally be from a film trilogy or series. In the past, we’ve shown the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Harry Potter movies, the Star Wars trilogies, the Matrix series, and others. In addition, every year in October we have a special focus on horror and thrillers.

On rare occasions, most typically in October, David will host a double feature on Sunday afternoons.

In addition, every Sunday we show previews of upcoming Movie Night movies as well as a selected short cartoon. This is usually an animated show like The Venture Brothers or Rick & Morty. You can skip the animated short and previews if you prefer and just show up by 5:30 to just see the movie.

The movies shown range from G-rated to R-rated. We don’t show adult movies on Movie Night.

The movies selected for Movie Night are typically decided by the Tiki Town staff though we do take suggestions.

The only movie we’ve shown more than once is The Rocky Horror Picture Show which is shown one Sunday during October.

A large green teleport rocket is placed at the main Tiki Resort just prior to 5:00 and can be used anytime during the movie to access the movie auditorium.

The very first Tiki Town Movie Night took place way back in April of 2021, and since then we’ve screened more than 180 movies.

Talking (chatting) during the movie is allowed and frequently happens. There have been rumors of sexual activity occurring during some of these movies though this reporter cannot verify the veracity of that gossip.

From day one, Movie Night has been and continues to be provided by the inimitable David Ceridwen. Don’t ask us questions about how David gets these movies. Let’s just say he knows a guy. Capiche?

There’s always free popcorn and of course and Movie Night is always free admission for everyone.
